Just spray off the poo first with water. The poo washes off very easily because charcoal bamboo is a very smooth fabric. Collect all the soiled diapers in a pail and wash in a load in the washing machine at no more than 60 degrees. Handwashing is also okay. Detergent should not contain bleach or softener. Hang dry after wash.

For newborns, because the poo is still very liquid, the liner won't be able to filter off much poo. But in the first few weeks, if there is sticky poo or diarrhea, it helps to use the liner to make it easier to wash. You will need 7 to 10 diapers a day.

Any baby detergent or washing powder that does not contain bleach or softener can be used. You do not need to buy expensive detergents if you don't want to.

There are 3 main reasons:
